Member Admitted to Practice Before Nation’s Highest Court: 

Bowes, Petkovich & Palmer, LLC is pleased to announce that on June 8, 2023, Roy M. Bowes was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.  After more than four decades of practicing law, Mr. Bowes was proud to stand in front of the Justices to be sworn in.  He considers it to be one of his greatest honors.

Mr. Bowes obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and graduated from Loyola Law School in 1979.  He began his legal career serving as a judicial law clerk before going into private practice in Gretna, Louisiana.  His practice concentrates on family lawpersonal injuryestate planning, and successions.  He is trained in the collaborative divorce model and is a charter member of the Collaborative Professionals Groups of Southeast Louisiana.  He is also a qualified registered divorce/custody/child support mediator.  

Mr. Bowes is a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Lawyers’ Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors.  He is also a member of the Christian Legal Society and has served as President of its New Orleans Chapter.
